- 1/2 Cup Jalapeno
- 2 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
- 6 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 Packet Powder Pectin
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
Instructions
- Start by washing canning jars with hot and soapy water. Then sterilize them in boiling water for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, roughly chop the bell pepper and jalapenos in the food processor, to maintain the texture don't over-process the pepper. You can do this with a knife but make sure to wear gloves to avoid a burning sensation.
- In a heavy-bottom pan, combine apple cider vinegar, sugar, pectin, chopped pepper and jalapenos. Stir them to combine together.
- While stirring continuously, bring the mixture to a boil. Then cook it over medium heat for 8-10 minutes
- or until you get desired consistency.
- Remove the pan from heat and remove the skim. Carefully pour the mixture into canning jars leaving a 1/4 inches headspace.
- Tightly screw the lids on jars and water bath them in boiling water for 10 minutes for proper sealing.
- Remove them from te water and let them cool completely until you hear a popping sound of sealing.
