Chicken Alfredo Recipe
Chicken Alfredo is an inspired dish from the traditional Italian pasta recipe Fettuccine Alfredo. This dish combines the goodness of creamy Alfredo sauce with chicken and pasta. Chicken seasoned with spices was grilled and then boiled pasta and chicken was rolled in creamy sauce to get a rich Chicken Alfredo pasta. This recipe gives an aesthetic vibe when juicy chicken and pasta perfectly cuddle the sauce.
This dish is a sign of love as the original Alfredo sauce is created by Alfredo de Lelio to appease his pregnant wife. He made a combination of butter and cheese to make a sauce; soon this recipe got hype and was known as Alfredo sauce. With time, the recipe evolved and now in America, it is prepared by combining butter, cream, herbs, and garlic.
As a home chef, I find this dish as an easy dinner recipe. On busy weekdays I like to make this recipe as it get ready in an hour. I often make this pasta from leftover grilled/baked chicken. You will love this recipe for its creamy, rich, and juicy flavors. It is a crowd-pleasing recipe that will turn your dinner party into a versatile and comforting gathering.
Ingredients you Will Need
Chicken Breasts: I am using chicken breasts as they are more juicy and easy to cook.
Fettuccine Pasta: Fettuccine pasta works well for this recipe. However, you can try other types of pasta as well.
Butter: I used unsalted butter for cooking the chicken and for preparing the base of the sauce.
Garlic: Infuse a subtle aroma in the sauce.
Heavy Cream: For the base of Alfredo sauce.
Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese: To make the sauce extra rich, I am using a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Parmesan Cheese: Add a nutty cheesy flavor and an authentic Italian flavor.
Spices: I am using onion powder, salt, paprika, and black pepper powder for seasoning.
Parsley: For garnishing the pasta, freshly chopped parsley will add a refreshing flavor.
