Step By Step Directions

Making Crumb Crust

Step1- Crush Biscuits:

  • In a food processor add dark chocolate biscuits and crush them to fine crumbs. You can use a rolling pin for crushing biscuits.
  • Then take it out in a mixing bowl, and add melted butter into the crumbs.
  • Mix them well to bind together.

Step2- Layer in Cake Pan:

  • Then in a 9″ cake pan, spread the crumbs and press them to make a flat crumb bed.
  • Put the pan in the refrigerator and step ahead to make chocolate cream cheese filling.

Making Chocolate Cream Cheese

Step1- Melt Chocolate:

  • Take a double boiler and melt the Swiss baking chocolate in it.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, pour a tablespoon of heavy cream and mix well.

Step2- Whisk Cream Cheese:

  • Take a bowl of stand mixer, and add cream cheese to it. Beat it on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Then add sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream and whisk until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold in melted chocolate to it.
  • Then evenly spread the chocolate cream cheese filling over the crumb crust.
  • Let it chill in the refrigerator until completing other layers.

Making White Chocolate Mousse

Step1- Melt Chocolate

  • In a double boiler, add while chocolate chips, and melt them.

Step2-Whisk Heavy Cream

  • Then take another bowl, and beat heavy cream and vanilla extract on medium speed for 3-4 minutes or until stiff peak forms.
  • Then add melted chocolate into the whipped cream and gently fold them together.
  • Once the chocolate mousse is ready, layer it on top of chocolate cream cheese filling.
  • Then again put it in the refrigerator until the last layer of cake is ready.

Making Chocolate Cake

Step1- Prepare Dry Batter:

  • Firstly, in a mixing bowl, add sifted all-purpose flour, dark cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Mix them well to combine, and set aside.

Step2- Prepare Wet Batter:

  • Secondly, in another mixing bowl, whisk together, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
  • Then add vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step3- Mix Batter:

  • Once the dry and wet batter is ready, gradually combine them. Start mixing dry batter into wet batter and make a thick cake batter.
  • Then pour hot water into the cake batter and mix well to a smooth consistency.

Step4- Bake:

  • In a 9″ greased cake pan, pour the cake batter and gently tap the pan on a flat surface to release air bubbles.
  • Then bake it at 175°C preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
